"My diagnosis was a bulging disc at L4/L5, pressing on my sciatic nerve. I had pain down my left leg and hip which eventually spread to my lower back. It was very painful to walk, sit or stand for long periods.
The surgery recommended for me was the Dynesys® implant, which has taken away all of my leg, hip and back pain. The only time I feel pain is when I try to do something I shouldn't do, such as lift something too heavy or ride for too long in the car.
The best thing is that I am able to be myself again, and be a wife and a mom to my three kids-able to go to their soccer and tennis games and other activities without pain. I am also a Bible teacher, so I am able to stand for an hour and teach without my leg or hip throbbing in pain.
