"I’m smiling in this photo taken at physical therapy (see photo of patient above), but that wasn’t the case several months ago.
After tests and evaluations, I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis. I had gone from gardening on Sunday to a wheelchair on Monday. I tried to be optimistic, but because of nerve damage there was a chance I might not be walking.
On May 21st, 2008 I had my surgery with Dr. Lestini, then I went to a rehab facility and after that in home physical therapy. After that I had out patient physical therapy at an Aquatic facility.
The reason I am smiling in this photo is thanks to Dr. Lestini, his wonderfully talented staff, my tenacity, and a lot of strength from God. I am walking again, driving and doing some light work around the house. I am enjoying my life with my wife and my family. With hope, faith and hard work my life has been brought back to me. "
