"In July 2008, I was cutting corn stalks and loading them on my pickup truck. I lifted a bundle of stalks that had a few heavy ears of corn left on the stalk, and when I turned to put them into the truck, it caused the T-6 vertebrae to compress. Needless to say, the pain was severe. I could not lift or bend.
I had the Balloon Kyphoplasty Surgical Procedure in August 2008, which relieved the pain. By September 2008, I had resumed my normal activities. I missed only one Sunday from Church. Three months after surgery, I began raking leaves from the yard! (See above photograph of patient).
I am now pain free and am doing just about everything that I was doing prior to the surgery."
