"Before I became a patient of Dr. Lestini’s, I had been in severe pain for over 14 months, tried steroid injections, physical therapy, been taking all kinds of muscle relaxers and pain medications, and even one unsuccessful back surgery already. I could only walk with a cane, and even then, for 15-30 minutes at most. I was having to take a lot of pain medication to deal with the pain.
At my first appointment with Dr. Lestini, he told me how he could fix my back problems with a two level spinal fusion surgery.
I was very excited to have Dr. Lestini perform my surgery, as I had heard from other health professionals at the hospital that if they or their family members needed back surgery, he was the man they would want to do it for them. So I had a great deal of confidence in him and trusted all that he and his staff told me.
Just before the surgery, Dr. Lestini came by to talk with my wife and I and to answer any last minute questions either of us may have had, and then he led us in a prayer for a minute or so. It was very comforting at such an anxious time for me and my wife.
The surgery went great, and within a few weeks I was able to start working on my physical therapy routine. I chose to use Back Builders for my physical therapy (next door to his office—they are great there also).
I am now at 6 months post-op and my lifestyle is completely back to normal. I’ve been back at work full-time for almost 3 months. Being able to walk 2 miles every morning and doing my exercises every other day is really amazing to me after dealing with so much pain for so long and basically being bed ridden for months before the surgery.
I highly recommend Dr. Lestini for anyone with back or neck problems. He is highly professional and completely trustworthy. I will forever be thankful for what he has done for me. "
