Having a background in nursing in Cleveland, Ohio, you can bet that I researched my options when it was clear that spinal surgery was inevitable. I wanted someone who was not only innovative and masterly trained in his specialty, but someone who was faith based and would have the added strength of allowing God’s Strength and Will to guide us both through what would otherwise be a cold science based process.
I also needed a surgeon that could provide me with the one-on-one discussion that would allow me to be an active decision maker in the process and always be there to answer all and any questions I may have. Sound crazy in today’s fast paced medicine? Think again! Dr. William Lestini delivered.
My surgery was performed after I had exhausted all other treatment modalities and was unable to walk for more than 10 minutes at a time. A mobility cart was my best friend; but now I consider Dr. Lestini among my list of best friends.
He and his team were there to guide me and my husband through every step of the process. I was amazed that on several occasions he called me at home to discuss and explain in length findings and concerns I may have had regarding my case. He and his team even talked to my doctor in Cleveland and coordinated with my local hospital to provide follow up X-rays and Physical Therapy, thus allowing me to recover at home in Cleveland and reduce the number of visits I needed to make to Raleigh, NC.
It has been over 6 months since my surgery and I am waking without pain and have Dr. Lestini and his highly competent team of professionals to thank for the exceptional treatment, care and outcome I have received. They are all truly God sent! My trips from Northeast Ohio to Raleigh were well worth the time and cost and I would do it all again. These people gave me my life back! They are amazing and performing miracles every day!
