I had been suffering with neck, shoulder and arm pain for several years.
Through physical therapy, exercise and Dr. Lestini’s direction, I was able to postpone surgery until my discs degenerated past the point of no return. Surgery was the last resort.
Dr. Lestini took great care of me through the time prior to and during the decision to have my spinal fusion. I believe what impressed me the most was his direct interaction through the surgery experience. He called me the night before the surgery to see if I had any questions. At the hospital, he stopped by before the surgery and prayed with my wife and me. He also called me the next day to make sure that we arrived home without complication. To be honest, such direct contact made a great impression on both my wife and me, and made us feel very confident about my care.
As far as the surgery itself, I only experienced very minor discomfort from a sore throat, but that soon subsided. It was a far easier experience than I had ever imaged. My only regret was not having the surgery sooner.
Dr. Lestini proved to be a truly exceptional surgeon.
