I knew I needed surgery on my back when the pain in my right leg was so bad that I fell to my knees daily. I heard about Dr. Lestini through another patient. I was relieved when I first met him and learned that he gave God all the credit for my healing. The day of surgery was easy. I never felt pain throughout the day or night. Day two was OK with the walking and turning I had to do. My remainder stay in the hospital was uneventful.
My return home stay was somewhat inconvenient, as I had to stay in bed or sit in a chair. My pain was bearable. My fourth day from surgery I returned to my office just to look around. My tenth day from surgery had me returning to work four hours a day. Being an office worker, I had little physical demands and I could sit as much as I needed. Three weeks from surgery I returned to full work as an attorney. I could drive to and from Court. Court personnel were very helpful as they got me in and out of Court so my stay was short. Two months from surgery I had no pain and started more physical activities.
Now three months from surgery, I am going to start putting and chipping around the greens and in a few months, I hope to return to resume playing golf again. I have to wait for the bone fusion to complete. I had a four level spinal fusion, so I have come a long way in a short period of time. I am very grateful for my decision to have surgery and for Dr. Lestini who helped make my life more enjoyable.
