I was very apprehensive of my spine surgery for herniated discs. Much of my uneasiness vanished during the pre-operative procedures. I met at least five hospital staff members who spoke of Dr. Lestini with respect and regard. They were correct - he is very careful and (a) skilled surgeon.

My surgery was successful and the entire experience was easier to bear than I had expected it to be. Waiting a full month before swimming again may have been the most difficult part.
