What is Cardio-Kickboxing?

Cardio-Kickboxing is a total body workout addressing aerobic, strength, and endurance conditioning. Similar to “Tae-Bo,” this non-contact boxing class incorporates the basic punches and kicks often used in self-defense. These movements are put together into simple combinations and performed to upbeat music. Proper form and safe movements are always utilized. Light strengthening and toning exercises are intermixed throughout the class to address all major muscle groups of the body. This high energy class is a great way to burn calories, tone muscles, learn simple self defense moves and have fun!

What is Pilates?

Pilates combines progressive strengthening and breathing techniques, and uses slow controlled whole body movements to safely tone the body. Pilates emphasizes proper spinal alignment and exercises the muscles vital for proper posture and stability because it focuses on strengthening the deepest core muscles first. This method of exercise can help increase your endurance, prevent and/or rehabilitate from injury and prepare you for specific functional needs during work or at home. Pilates is safe for pregnant women and is excellent for toning post pregnancy. It is low impact, safe for joints, and the exercises are easily catered toward the individual needs of clients.
